How to Maintain Your Spa Cover

Just as the cover helps you to keep your spa clean and well maintained, the cover itself also requires maintenance. It is designed to last long but a little maintenance can extend the life of your spa cover. Other than the usual wear and tear, spa covers are prone to mold growth. With proper cleaning and care you can prevent the growth of mold. Clean the spa cover twice a month.

You should wash the cover with a hose and the specialized soap. The areas surrounding the zipper require special attention as these areas are prone to mildew and mold.
3. If the spa cover has harsh stains, use vegetable oil to remove the stains.
4. Once you wash the cover, thoroughly scrutinize for mold or mildew. If you smell or see any sign of mold, clean it once again to remove the foam cores from the spa cover.
5. The cover needs a few days to be dry out completely.
Always use a cover lifter when you remove or place the cover over the spa. Wipe the inner side of the cover frequently. Never use harsh chemical to clean a spa cover. Regular cleaning and maintenance will keep the cover in shape for time to come.
