Ahh! There is nothing like lying in a hammock in your backyard, patio or porch, reading a good book, relaxing from a hard day at work, or just taking a nap. But first take the advice of a Pro hammock buyer, purchasing the cheapest hammock is not always the best choice you can make about a new hammock.
As a pro hammock buyer, I have purchased well over three hammocks, and started off buying the cheapest, but soon found out that I should have paid more attention to the materials and the type of hammock I had bought, instead of just the price. That particular hammock only lasted a few months. The type of hammock you buy will also depend on several more factors like where you are going to place the hammock, the kind of portability you need and of course the amount of money you want to pay for it.
For instance, a rope hammock is a very good choice, as long as you do not plan on taking long naps in it, and do not plan on putting it near a pool. Imagine yourself, gently swinging in the breeze, enjoying the sunlight in the lazy summer afternoon, until someone suddenly jumps into the pool and gets your comfy rope bed all wet. Wet rope tends to chafe and that unfortunately soon becomes extremely uncomfortable.
If you like napping in a hammock, then you may not want a rope hammock to be your first choice. It can be difficult to get comfo
rtable enough to sleep in one, and any movement may cause that rope to rub the wrong way. In these cases, a fabric hammock may be your best bet.
If you however do decide to get a rope style hammock then it will be better if you look for synthetic rope hammocks. These are made of a polyester material, which will not stretch out of shape, like other regular hammocks. There is nothing worse than having a big sagging section in the hammock that eventually breaks and creates a big gaping hole.
Synthetic rope hammocks also withstand the elements much better than other types of hammocks (like cotton rope ones) as they polyester tends to dry out more quickly after getting wet. This type of rope hammock does not tend to irritate the skin like other types of rope hammocks might do.
There are many types of different hammocks available at the market, and the type you choose depends on where it is going to be placed.
Fabric hammocks are a great option for outside and especially poolside areas, but have to be specially cared for and brought inside during the cold winter months.
Rope hammocks can also work great for you, but the synthetic rope hammock withstands the elements much better, and can offer you a lot more comfort than the traditional rope hammock.
In conclusion
When you go looking for a hammock just be sure to find one that is made with quality materials, before you start comparing the prices.
