Household owners on wet weather areas has a big problem with rust. Most have tried every possible way to get rid of it, but it seems that nothing can totally eliminate it. The trick however is to treat rust as soon as it is detected.

Even small patches of rust is enough to kill the lovely appearance of your home. It can be seen on your wall, on your garage floor, sidewalks and even patios.

Most rust problem is common in those areas where water pipes are placed beside concrete walls. Using well water in the garden can also gather rust in no time especially on concrete in surrounding areas and metal items. If you are using well water, the best that you can do to avoid rust formation is to be careful when spraying water in the garden and always use a top quality spray nozzle. However, always keep in mind that you can't totally stop things from getting rusty, which is normal, since rust will always be there unless you completely remove the water source.

The first common step most people do to remove rust is to brush out remaining paint from the surrounding area and the rusted surface. Some people use a good quality wire brush to clean the place. After cleaning the rusted surface, they apply good quality metal primer or rust resistant paint. This is one good solution that you can follow to keep metal furniture and concrete surfaces away from rust for a long time. If rust comes back, you can simply repeat the process.

Another solution of keeping your metal furniture or concrete wall free from rust is by using natural rust removers. One specific organic alternative is lemon juice. It is effective and safe to use. All you need to do is to put some lemon juice on the rusted item or area and leave them to dry for a couple of minutes to half an hour, it really depends on the condition and quality of the rusted area. After applying the lemon juice, scrub the rusted area by using a good quality brush and wash the rust off the surface or item with water. But keep in mind that in some situations, lemon juice might cause discoloration or might leave some stains behind even if you rinse the place thoroughly. It is at this point you should consider utilizing a commercially available rust removal product. Make sure though that the rust remover you will be using has no hazardous chemical ingredients.

You can also try using vinegar, another organic alternative, to clean rust stain from concrete wall and metal items. Just follow the same procedure as you did with the lemon juice.

Organic rust removers are now widely used by most consumers because using these type of rust removal products can definitely clean rust easily, effectively and safely. They are easy to apply and uses no chemical for its proper rust treatment. Organic rust removers are also inexpensive, can be readily accessed and can be used to almost all household items and surfaces.
